Installation Process

This involves meticulously installing our site preparations, including flooring protection, dust screens, ziplock doors, and dust extraction units. These measures effectively contain dust spread and safeguard the surrounding areas.
Once the site is prepared, temporary supports are strategically installed to take the weight of the joists and provide support to the structure of the property during the installation process.
Our team meticulously positions each support, ensuring optimal stability and safety.
The RSJ beams are then carefully positioned onto specified pad stones, which are reinforced concrete or brick pads, in accordance with current building control regulations. Each beam is securely fixed, providing optimal structural support while maintaining the integrity of your property.
Post-Installation Review and Finishing Works
After the installation, a thorough inspection is conducted to ensure the RSJ beam is properly installed and the area is structurally sound.
This may involve local building control or an independent inspector reviewing the work to ensure it meets all regulations and standards. Once building control has inspected the work, fire board is installed to enclose the beam, providing an additional 30 minutes of protection to the support in the event of a future property fire.
Any necessary finishing works are then completed. This includes plastering to repair any walls, ceilings, and the installation of matching floorboards on any floors disturbed during the installation process.
The project is finalised with a completion certificate which will be issued directly to the client from the council, signing off on the completed work, validating home insurance, and future sales of the property.
